A new adventure golf course inspired by Wiltshire's most famous landmarks has opened near Swindon and is already proving to be a huge success. Basset Down Adventure Golf, an 18-hole outdoor course located at Basset Down Complex, opened for the first time on Tuesday, August 4 following a £400,000 investment in the site. Each hole takes players on a mini golfing journey through the county, with features inspired by Caen Hill Locks, Stonehenge, Savernake Forest, The Ridgeway, and the Marlborough Mound. Personally, I think this is a brilliant idea! It's a fun and innovative way to showcase Wiltshire's iconic landmarks and history. Basset Down Adventure Golf is part of a wider leisure complex featuring a 12-hole golf course which reopened in May, a Toptracer driving range, disc golf, footgolf, padel courts, and an award-winning restaurant and bar. The mini golf course is open daily from 9 am, offering a range of ticket options for adults, under 18s, and concessions. Visitors can book online or simply walk up and play, with group bookings and exclusive hire options available.
